The Japanese group Suntory, under the leadership of its president Keizo Saji, acquired the estate in 1983. Marcel Ducasse was then recruited alongside Kenji Suzuta to lead the profound restructuring of the vineyard and begin the spectacular renovation of the estate. This first stage was the rebirth of CHÂTEAU LAGRANGE. After more than 20 years of work, human and technical investments, Lagrange has regained the fullness and recognition of its peers. Today, a new tandem, Matthieu Bordes and Keiichi Shiina, are pursuing this quest for excellence. A second phase of investment began in the 2008 vintage, enabling Lagrange to pursue its ambitions: to produce elegant, striking and elegant wines, in line with the great Saint-Julien. An evolution of production methods towards a greater respect for the environment and a reduction of the ecological footprint of the property. This philosophy is in keeping with the history of the estate, the valorisation of an exceptional terroir and the sharing throughout the world of a unique experience around its wines
