Borgoluce Lampo is a Prosecco that crisply defines the expression of a vast windswept region and the natural passion of a modern estate with a lineage of a 1000 years. Far and away, the most glittering of the nine provinces that make up Prosecco DOC, the sparkling pride and joy of Italy, Treviso is worshipped as the historic heartland of Prosecco, studded with sloping vineyards and gifted with deft and creative exponents of Prosecco making. The Collalto family that founded Borgoluce has a legacy of a 1000 years and a modern, organic approach towards making one of Italy’s finest Prosecco styles. Based in the esteemed Conegliano-Valdobbiadene Prosecco Superiore DOCG appellation, Borgoluce was founded in 2007 by Ninni and Caterina Collalto with her husband Lodovico Giustiniani. The estate also produces a range of organic agricultural products like buffalo milk cheese, honey and breads and is deeply committed to biodiversity and ecological sustainability.
The Treviso DOC vineyards carpet the hills of the Alta Marca Trevigiana at an altitude of nearly 330 feet above sea level and are rooted in Miocene clayey rocks, calcium and clay rich soils that imbue the grapes with concentrated flavour and generous acidity. The south-facing orientation provides the vines with good sun exposure mild springs with moderately strong breezes followed by relatively dry summers and long autumns create the ideal conditions for an early bud-burst and the full ripening of the grapes. The ‘Lampo’ is a bright, peachy and organic Prosecco expressing the hallmark character of the region. Vibrant, straw yellow sparkler alive with bubbles, Lampo is produced from Glera grapes organically farms on the hills of Treviso DOC.
