New world bubblies have given the old world mainstays a proper run for their legacy and this vintage sparkler from South Africa’s Stellenbosch produced by Man Family winemaker Riaan Möller, makes the Chenin Blanc shine with dollops of lime, pear and apple, lifted by zesty texture, finishing clean.

Western Australia is not mentioned nearly as often as it should so this cool region lets the wine do the talking, which this smooth white blend certainly does.
